Indian gangster Jitendra Mann alias Gogi, who was Delhi’s most wanted, was shot inside Rohini court on Friday. The attackers, dressed as lawyers, opened fire on Jitendra, killing him on the spot.

The incident happened in Rohini court number 206 when Jitendra was presented before the judge.

The Delhi Police’s Special Cell killed the two attackers in the ensuing shootout. The attackers are believed to be from the Tillu Tajpuria gang. The shootout left three people dead and one female lawyer injured. Around 35-40 rounds were fired during the incident.

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said, “The gangsters have been shot. Two came in lawyer’s uniform. Police have neutralised them in counter move. Three causalities have been reported.”

Several videos of the incident went viral on social media in which lawyers are seen scrambling to get out of the building amid the sound of gunshots in the background.

Jitendra and his aide Kuldeep Fazza, who was a topper at Delhi University, were arrested from Gurugram two years ago by the Special Cell. Kuldeep Fazza later escaped from custody on March 25. Special Cell officials said there were more than 50 people in Jitendra Gogi’s network.

A huge amount of cartridges and arms were recovered during Gogi’s arrest in 2020. A reward of Rs 4 lakh in Delhi and Rs 2 lakh in Haryana was announced for information on Gogi alone.

Gogi’s name had also cropped up in the famous Haryanvi singer-dancer Harshita’s murder case. Aam Aadmi Party leader Virendra Mann was also allegedly shot dead by Gogi gang members in Narela.

In 2018, there was a gang war between members of the Gogi and Tillu gang in Burari in which three people were killed and five injured.
