Drunken cop at polling station suspended

A Police officer who had been drinking alcohol while on election duty in the Puttalam area had been suspended, the Wayamba DIG said today. The Puttalam DIG had noticed the drunken police officer while he was inspecting the polling stations in the District.

 

 

The Officer had been on duty at the Nagawila IDP camp in Puttalam and an immediate replacement had been sent to the polling station.
