Mervyn among first three in Gampaha?

Latest reports from highly placed sources state that Dr. Mervyn Silva who contested the Gampaha district under the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) is among the top three in the preferential votes list.
The President’s brother and senior Presidential advisor Basil Rajapaksa and Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle are the other two, say sources.
Teledrama actress ‘Paba’ Upeksha Swarnamalee is said to be leading the United National Front preferential votes list, though this could not be confirmed as yet.
