The Colombo-Kandy road will be closed for traffic at Pahala Kadugannawa due to the dangers of possible earth slips, says the Kegalle District Secretary.

Accordingly, motorists are urged to use alternate routes.

However, they are allowed to use one lane until the road is closed at 10.00 p.m. today (November 10), the Road Development Authority (RDA) said.

An announcement on resuming traffic on the Colombo-Kandy main road will be made in due course following an inspection by the officials of the RDA and the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) tomorrow.
