MP Charles Nirmalanathan tests positive for novel coronavirus

Vanni District MP Charles Nirmalanathan of Tamil National Alliance (TNA) has tested positive for COVID-19.

Speaking to Ada Derana, the parliamentarian said a recent PCR test confirmed that he has contracted the virus.

MP Nirmalanathan is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.
