Woman who handled Harak Kata’s finances arrested with cash

A female who handled the finances of notorious drug dealer Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne alias ‘Harak Kata’ has been arrested in the area of Nedimala, Dehiwala.
The 29-year-old in question was taken into custody by the Western Province-South crimes prevention unit while in possession of Rs. 2.8 million, 26 SIM cards, two passbooks and two mobile phones.
Recently, it was revealed that Harak Kata’ who is currently hiding in Dubai, UAE had smuggled 720 kg of heroin, 240 kg of crystal methamphetamine (also known as ‘Ice’) and 20 latest models of 9mm pistols within five months in 2020.
Investigations have uncovered that ‘Harak Kata’ was acquainted with the woman in question via his incarcerated close associate ‘Army Chooti’.
