North Western Province Governor Raja Collure passes away

Raja Collure, the governor of the North Western Province, has passed away while receiving treatment for COVID-19.

He was aged 83 at the time of his demise.

Last Friday (Dec. 03), it was confirmed that Collure had contracted the novel coronavirus. He had tested positive for the virus following a PCR test.

He had passed away this morning while receiving treatment at the KDU Hospital. 

Mr. Collure  was also the Chairman of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka.
