Two gunmen rob jewellery shop in Borella, shoot into air

Two suspects on a motorcycle robbed a jewellery shop in Borella at around 2.30 p.m. today (December 11).
According to the police, the duo shot in the air to strike fear into the jewellery shop employees.
The suspects approaching the store was meanwhile caught on a CCTV.
The police believe that the suspect had made away with jewellery amounting to a considerable value.
Following the heist, the suspects have fled the scene.
Colombo Crimes Division is conducting further investigations into the incident.
