17 injured as bus topples in Padiyathalawa

At least 17 passengers have been injured and hospitalized after a bus toppled into a slope near the Galode Bridge in Padiyathalawa.
Police said a private bus traveling from Kilinochchi to Kataragama had toppled in this manner as the driver of the bus had lost control.
The wounded passengers have been admitted to the Maha-Oya Hospital.
The driver of the bus has been taken into police custody.
