More power cuts expected in several areas tonight

Disruptions to the electricity supply can be expected in parts of the island between 6.00 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. today (December 23), says the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
The power cuts may last for nearly 45 minutes.
The CEB said the breakdown in the third phase of the Norochcholai power plant is still being rectified.
