Former WPC opposition leader Kithsiri Kahatapitiya passes away

Former Opposition Leader of the Western Provincial Council Kithsiri Kahatapitiya has passed away while being treated for Covid-19. 

A former UNP member of the Western Provincial Council, he had also contested the last parliamentary election from the Kalutara District under the ‘Samagi Jana Balawegaya’, but was unable to secure a seat.
