VIDEO: Tense situation outside UGC, one Uni. student injured

A tense situation has erupted in front of the University Grants Commission, Ada Derana reporter confirms. One university student has been admitted to the National Hospital following clashes, hospital sources said.

A representative Allied Health Science Unit of the Peradeniya Universitywho organized the protest told Ada Derana that they had begun the protest from the Vihara Maha Devi Parkand near the Eye Hospital police had blocked their procession and assaulted them.

The Protest was organized against the proposed plan to reduce their course from 4 years to 3, the representative claimed.
