Drugs worth over Rs. 9 million seized at Central Mail Exchange

The Customs officers have detected several parcels containing Kush and ecstasy narcotic pills at the Central Mail Exchange.

According to the Customs spokesperson, the contraband is sent from the United Kingdom, Germany and Canada to fake addresses in Colombo and Gampaha.

The seized stock of narcotics substances is reportedly valued over Rs. 09 million.

The officers of the Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs have found a total of 472g of Kush cannabis and 302 ecstasy narcotic pills during a surveillance operation at the Central Mail Exchange.

The seized items will be handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
