Explosion at a New Year festival injured 11

A bomb explosion that took place at a New Year festival in Kandana last evening has left 11 persons injured, Police spokesman confirmed. The injured have been admitted to the Colomboand Ragama hospitals.

 

 

Police spokesman Prishanth Jayakodi said a quarrel that took place at a New Year festival was the reason behind the bomb attack.

 

 

Police have recovered two trishaws and a motor cycle that was abandoned following the blast.

 

 

Police are conducting further inquiries.
