March 5, 2022   10:22 am

The employees of the Kotte Municipal Council are engaged in a demonstration under the overhead bridge in Welikada, says Ada Derana correspondent.

According to reports, the protest is blocking the vehicular movement towards Battaramulla and Nawala as well.

The protesters allege that a municipal council worker was assaulted by a motorist, while collecting garbage yesterday (March 04).

They further claimed that despite lodging a complaint with the police, justice was not served to the assaulted municipal council worker.
