Over 300 factory workers hospitalised due to food poisoning

Over 300 workers from a apparel factory in Koggala have been admitted to hospital with suspected food poisoning.

A total of around 325 employees of the factory were admitted to the Karapitiya Hospital this morning (20) with symptoms of food poising, the hospital director said. 

He said that they had shown symptoms such as vomiting and dizziness.

Galle Police has launched an investigation into the incident.
