Child dies after train collides with vehicle in Kodikamam

UPDATE: A 12-year-old boy died after the Yaldevi express train collided with a vehicle on the level crossing in the Kodikamam area earlier today.

It is reported that his father and the brother were admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital in critical condition.



Three members of the same family who were travelling in a vehicle have been hit by a train in the area of Kodikamam in Jaffna.

According to reports, a father and his two sons had been inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.

The Yaldevi express train en route to Colombo had collided with the vehicle that attempted to cross the railway line in a careless manner.
