April 30, 2022   10:58 pm

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa says the no-confidence motion against the government and the President will be moved in the parliament next week.

His remarks came as the ‘Nidahase Aragalaya’ protest march, organized by main opposition Samagi Jana Balawegaya, resumed from Yakkala earlier today and headed towards Kiribathgoda.

The rally kicked off from Kandy on the 26th of April. It is expected to reach Kandy tomorrow (May 01).

Addressing the rally, the opposition leader called the formation of an interim government is a “fake enactment”, adding that the Samagi Jana Balawegaya would not take part in it.
