Secret ballot in case of competition for Party Leader post – UNP

The UNP Reforms Committee recommends a secret ballot to appoint UNP party leader in an event where more than one name is proposed. It states that the same should apply for the posts of Deputy Leader, Assistant Leader,National Organizer and Chairman.

Speaking to Ada Derana Reforms Committee Chairman Joseph Michael Perera said that the further details on how the secret ballot should be conducted will be decided by the party.
