Police officer injured amid tensions at Temple Trees dies

A police officer who was injured during the tensions at the Temple Trees last night (May 10) has reportedly died.

According to a spokesperson of the Colombo National Hospital, the officer in question has died on admission to the hospital.

In the meantime, an anti-government protester who was at the Galle Face Green has died of a heart attack, while receiving treatments.

Further, reports revealed that the number of injured people hospitalized from tensions at both the GotaGoGama protest site and the Temple Trees has increased to 217.
