Prime Minister to make special statement today

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to deliver a special statement today addressing the nation. 

The Prime Minister’s special statement will be telecasted on TV Derana and Ada Derana 24 at 6.30 p.m. this evening (16). 

This would be the first national address of his record sixth term as the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

During the speech, Wickremesinghe is expected to present the ‘full picture’ of Sri Lanka’s current economic crisis, its worst since gaining independence.
