30-year-old killed in shooting incident in Panadura

The life of an individual was claimed in a shooting incident reported in the area of Panadura this afternoon (June 03), Ada Derana correspondent says.

Two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle had opened fire at the victim near the Nirmala Mawatha in Panadura.

The deceased was identified as a 30-year-old father of two named Randika Madhushan from Thalpitiya in Wadduwa. He worked as a vegetable vendor in Panadura town.

He was gunned down while he was moving towards the Galle Road on a motorcycle along with another individual. According to reports, the perpetrators had shot the victim again after he fell down.

The Panadura South Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
