Kelaniya University too reopens

The Kelaniya University which was closed following a clash between student factions on May 19 will reopen on June 10, Thursday, says the University’s Media Unit Director Dr. Mapa Tillekeratne.

 

 

Resident students should report to their respective hostels by 6.00 pm on June 9, Wednesday, said the Media Unit Director.

 

 

According to the Kiribathgoda Police the clash had taken place between students of the Arts and Science faculties and around 800 were involved. Some students sustained injuries due to the clash, prompting the authorities to order the closure of the university.
