Ranjan signs documents seeking presidential pardon

Incarcerated former MP Ranjan Ramanayake has signed the letter seeking a presidential pardon, his attorney Dinesh Vidanapathirana confirmed today (Aug 13).

The letter, prepared by Ramanayake’s attorneys, will accordingly be directed to President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

Ramanayake is currently serving a prison sentence over contempt of court.
