Extra monthly allowance of Rs. 2,500 for pregnant women

An additional monthly allowance of Rs. 2,500 will be provided to pregnant women, President Ranil Wickremesinghe said today, presenting the Interim Budget 2022 in the parliament.
Accordingly, this allowance will be in addition to the allowance of Rs. 20,000 which is provided for the pregnant woman at present.
