Major flood situation as water level of Kalu River tributary rises

The Department of Irrigation says that the water level of Kuda Ganga, a tributary of the Kalu River, has risen at Millakanda area to the level of a major flood situation.

The water level was recorded as 8.15 meters at Millakanda.

Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology says that the low-level atmospheric disturbance around the island is gradually moving away.
