One dead, one injured in van-bus collision

One person was killed while another was critically wounded following a head-on collision involving a bus and a van in the 16th Mile Post area at Saliyawewa.
Police said the accident had occurred this afternoon (04) and that the driver of the van had died on the spot while a passenger of the van had sustained injuries.
Saliyawewa Police is conducting an investigations into the incident.
