Sri Lankashould not depend on foreign loans and instead concentrate on encouraging Foreign Direct Investments for the country’s development, former Malaysian Premier Dr. Mahathir Mohamed told Adaderana a short while ago.

Dr. Mahathir Mohamed is on a short visit to the island and attended 6th Annual Business Awards of the Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council held in Colombo yesterday along with the International Business Leaders’ Forum.

Sir, we totally agree with you. It works very well with many countries. But in Sri Lanka, we give a different meaning to Foreign Loans and Direct Investment. The Direct Investments means hardly anything for the politicians. The Foreign Loans means hardly anything for the voters. Our politicians are much smarter than you. Now you may know the reason why they can not walk the roads without AK47s all around them.

Sound advise from Mr Mahathir. It is far easy to get a loan than to try and convince a investor to invest in our Country. In the past we had a bad image because of the probs with terrorism. But, now that is all behind us, if we work hard, I´m sure we can attract venture capitalist to invest in our Country, whereby reducing the national debt.

Dear Mohamed, You are wrong. We never depend on others. Look, we have reduce the tax to import cars as our people have got enough money. We have our own judiciary system which can controll by thge head of the state. We have resettlled people in north. We are constructing the railway line upto Kataragama and then to Bati and Highway from Colombo to H´tota. We bought more than 100 rail engines and compartments. So what else .We are selfsufficent. However even we have nothing we got enough FISH & COCO-NUTS´.

Why are traitors allowed to come and post derogatory rubbish on these pages?! Go back to Daily Mirror website you scoundrels. There, patriotic messages are censored, but they have the nerve to come here and make stupid comments. Kalusuddhas and the NGO-pedos should stop commenting here and instead go back to the baren frozen wastelands from which they come!

Why are all these traitors and Colombians coming to Adaderana to post comments, as pointed out by another individual here? Can i go to another site and post any comments? No. Because under the Colombians idea of "freedom" and sense of "free media" i am censored freely as "freedom" is only meant for this kalu-suddha clique of "elite" (now a pseudo elite who have no power or influence without a UNP Government). When they cry for "freedom" of all hues they in reality mean their own personal selfish freedom to do what they want: "freedom" to rob the country to fund their luxury lives which have been built on lies and deception, "freedom" to silence all dissent and crush all those who oppose their idiotic selfish views, "freedom" for this select few to rule with an iron fist and crush the nations masses, "freedom" for them to live their fraudulent luxury lives built on impoverishing the common masses where in the minds of this "elite" it is the duty of the common masses, the "godayas", to take their place as third class citizens dutifully serving Colombians and their super lifestyles while the masses stay poor (because the poor "deserve" to be poor in the eyes of the Colombians) so the Colombian elite can be rich and happy. It is why they have been spitting on and attacking the country at every turn, it is why they go around calling for economic sanctions with the perverse thinking that that will some how result in the people blaming the Government for the economic hardships the Colombians create and thus collapse the current popular Government and bring the UNP into power enabling these Colombians to once again easily fund their luxurious lives which have always been sustained through corruption and bogus business contracts, deals and foreign aid schemes of their white masters (the burden of which is passed onto the poor while the short term benefits go straight to their masters and themselves). Today they struggle to make a fast buck because they cannot make these crooked deals without the UNP holding the reigns of Government. The Colombians behaved in this exact manner during the war, thinking their "careful" calculations and machinations would not be noticed, where they openly supported and assisted the LTTE wanting their own Army defeated in the perverse and disgusting belief that people will then blame the Government for Military defeats the Colombians tried to facilitate and thus vote in the UNP, instead the people were not conned by Colombian tricks, they saw straight through the Colombian game plan resulting in their "careful" calculations (whos equation always puts the commons masses as "idiots" because in Colombian eyes their little "English speaking" "Westernised" clique is "superior") backfiring terribly making Rajakase even more popular. These people will do anything to come to power, if that means selling out our Army, supporting an LTTE victory, a Military dictatorship (through Fonseka) or economic sanctions they will do their best to achieve it, anything and everything if they can get their hands on power even if the end result is the disintegration and destruction of the country, they would have no quarrel jumping head first for such an option. Anything is game for them if it means having a shot at power because that is the only way these people can "be rich" and "be Western" all of which reflects on their selfish, racist and despicable attitudes and nature. They are a true curse on this country and people -worse than the LTTE.

No harm taking loans if they are properly managed, properly spent and get the benefit to the masses and pay-back. Unfortunately what is happening in Srilanka is that when the loans are received it is used to distribute to govt Henchayyas who would put up posters, cut-outs, and other dirty works during the election campaign. Poor masses will get about 20% to 30% of the loan. But when the paying-back poor masses has to suffer. That is why the loans are now become a burden for each and every member of SriLanka. They were stolen by the politicians for their personal benefit only.

Mahathir is a great Asian leader who transformed Malaysia. Naturally the white world and their kalu-suddha lackeys here hate him as evident by their comments and general attitude against anyone who does not bow down to the West.

SL does not need loans if all the 225 Members of parliament are honest and work with one intention which is to develop the country. But how many are honest and admit that they have stolen or are stealing or will intend to steal money in the name of developing their prospective areas. On the other hand, how many of the diaspora Tamils really want to send money to develop the North and East rather helping to destroy the country by fostering terrorism or calling a mythical genocide to get refugee status in the west? Just be honest then we can develop teh country no problems without a quibble.

Most anti government commenters here say that, only this government taking loans. But Remember the 4.5 Billion loan requested by UNP government and showed that was a great achievement too. For UNP taking loans are good But not for this government.
