The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) is to celebrate the first anniversary of its Iranamadu air base on June 21 with a charity programme at Ramanadapuram School.

Established on June 21, 2009 adjacent to the Iranamadu air strip set up by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and retaken by the Sri Lankan security forces last year, officers and ranks attached to this unit made a tremendous effort to bring the camp to its present level, says the SLAF.

The charity programme will include the presentation of books and bags to 150 students of Rananadapuram Tamil School, a medical clinic conducted by the SLAF Medical Unit, a musical show by the SLAF cultural group along with refreshment to the students and civilians.
