Ugandan nabbed at BIA with cocaine pellets hidden inside stomach

A Ugandan national who had been hiding with 17 pellets of cocaine inside his stomach has been arrested on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake.

The 43-year-old was apprehended by the officers of the Narcotics Control Unit of Sri Lanka Customs.

According to Customs spokesperson, the contraband has a market value of Rs. 12 million.
