Speaker announces names of MPs nominated to COPA and COPE

Speaker of Parliament Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena today announced to the House the names of the Members nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) and the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).

The Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene today (03) announced in Parliament that notwithstanding the provisions of the Standing Order 119 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by Parliament on 10th August 2022 the following Members have been nominated by the Committee of Selection to serve in the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA), in terms of the motion agreed to by Parliament on 29th August 2022:
