Prison officers confiscate mobile phone from Thilini Priyamali

Prison officers have confiscated a mobile phone in possession of Thilini Priyamali who is under remand custody for the charges of misappropriation of money from businessmen and VIPs, the Prisons Spokesman says.

The mobile phone was confiscated by the Prison Emergency Response Unit, during a search carried out at the women’s section of Welikada Prison last night (Oct 09).

The Prisons Spokesperson also stated that an investigation has been initiated by the Prison Emergency Response Unit together with the Welikada Prison authorities.
