Sri Lanka takes on Pakistan today

The inaugural match of 10th Asia Cup would be played today (Tuesday) betweenPakistan and Sri Lanka. The commencement of Asian Cup took place in 1986.

 

India and Sri Lanka have become champions of Asia Cup for four times while Pakistancould only once bring the Cup to country.

 

It is pertinent to mention here that this time Captain Shahid Khan Afridi has assured that all the players are fit and they want to make the beginning of a busy season with victory in the Asia Cup.

 

On the other hand, Sri Lankan Captain Sangakkara has said that his team would enjoy the edge of playing on its home ground and the players would fully benefit from this advantage.

 

Sri Lanka had won the Cup in 1986 and Pakistanhad got victory in the final of Asia Cup in 2000.
