Three-wheelers to be given additional fuel quota

Minister of Power & Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says an additional fuel quota will be provided to three-wheelers over the next couple of weeks.

He made this remark in response to a question raised by MP Mujibur Rahuman during the parliamentary session this morning.

Registration of three-wheelers for the fuel pass is being carried out through police stations at present. Once the process is completed and the data is entered into the fuel pass QR code system, three-wheelers would be given an additional fuel quota, the lawmaker said further.

Speaking further, Minister Wijesekera noted that petrol prices have been reduced on three occasions and appealed to professional three-wheeler drivers to reduce the fares in line with the fuel price revision.
