Court names Fonseka as suspect in Hicorp case

The Colombo Fort magistrate has ordered that General (retired) Sarath Fonseka be produced in courts as a suspect in the ongoing case against the financial dealings by Hicorp, said to be owned by his son-in-law.

 

 

This was in response to a request to courts by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which in a report submitted to court stated that there was enough evidence against Sarath Fonseka to be named as a suspect in the Hicorp case.

 

 

Court ordered that General Fonseka, who is currently under military custody, be produced in courts on June 23
