Special traffic plan in Colombo on Friday

A special traffic plan will be in place in Colombo tomorrow (Friday, June 18) from 5.00 am till the conclusion of the National Victory Day Parade at the Galle Face Green.

 

 

 

Vehicles heading towards Colombo will have to turn left from the Thunmulla roundabout and proceed along Thurstan Road, CambridgePlace and then turn right from the Horton Place roundabout and proceed via C.W.W. Kannangara Mawatha to Maradana.

 

 

Vehicles leaving Colombo will have to proceed along Ceynor junction, the Technical junction and then turn right from the Maradana bridge, to proceed along the Gamini roundabout, Darley Road, Ibbanwela junction, Lipton Circus, Dharmapala Mawatha, F.R Senanayake Mawatha, C.W.W. Kannangara Mawatha then turn right and proceed along the Nanda Motors junction, turn right at the Cinnamon Gardens roundabout and proceed along Reid Avenue, Thunmulla junction and to Bambalapitiya along Bullers’ Road.

 

 

The following roads connecting Colombo will be closed from 5.00 am till the parade ends:

 

Colombo from the Bambalapitiya junction, the road up to Galle Face Green from the Kollupitiya junction, Justice Akbar Mawatha, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, the road from Ceynor junction to Fort, road from the Khan Clock Tower to Colombo Fort.
