Trader fined over Rs. 1 million for selling eggs for higher prices

The court has imposed a fine of Rs. 1,020,000 on a trader from Avissawella for selling eggs for higher prices.

Reportedly, another trader, who is based in Dematagoda, was fined Rs. 100,000 by the court for the same offence.

Meanwhile, four traders from Anuradhapura, have each been imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000 for selling eggs exceeding the maximum retail price.
