German national arrested in Waskaduwa for visa violation

Police have arrested a German national who had been staying in the island without a valid visa.
The individual in question was arrested last evening (Nov 13) while staying at a tourist hotel in the Waskaduwa area of Kalutara North police division.
He is scheduled to be produced before the courts today (Nov 14).
Kalutara-North police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
