One person injured in a shooting at Makewita

An individual has been shot and injured near a primary school at the Makewita area in Gampaha this afternoon (Nov 15).

Ada Derana correspondent reported that the shooting had been carried by two gunmen who had arrived on a motorcycle.

It has been uncovered that the perpetrators had used a pistol for the shooting, according to Police.

The injured victim has been identified as a 42-year-old resident of the Arachchiwatta area.

Gampaha Police is conducting further investigations into the incident.
