Two fertilizer shipments dock at Colombo Port

A ship carrying a cargo of 41,678 metric tonnes of Muriate of Potash (MOP) fertilizer arrived in Sri Lanka, Minister of Agriculture Mahinda Amaraweera says.

Unloading the shipment, which reached the Colombo Port last night, is scheduled to commence later today.

Meanwhile, another shipment of 16,000 metric tonnes of urea, procured under the World Bank loan assistance program, reached Colombo this morning.

This urea consignment is planned to be distributed among low-income farming families.
