Gazette issued banning import of rice

The Ministry of Finance has issued a Gazette notification banning the import of rice, except for Basmathi.
However, the shipments which are already on the way and stocks for which Letters of Credit have been opened before December 09, 2022, can be cleared under special license, it said.
