The removal of the US-NATO forces commander in Afghanistan by President Obama shows the double standards that the United States is following in its international dealings, the Director General of the Media Centre for National Security has stated.

Commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force and U.S. Forces-Afghanistan General Stanley A. McChrystal was removed from his post by President Barack Obama over a comment critical of the US in a magazine article.

This action by the US contradicts the stance it took and the advice it provided when the Sri Lankan government was taking legal steps against General Sarath Fonseka, MCNS Director General Lakshman Hulugalla has told Global Tamil Network (GTN).
