Man shot dead in Seeduwa

A 39-year-old male, identified as Gihan Kanchana Perera, was shot dead in Kotugoda, Seeduwa this morning (23 Dec.), the police reported.

Accordingly, two individuals had arrived on a motorcycle at around 07:00 a.m. today and had opened fire at the suspect near a food stall in the area, as seen on a security camera installed near the location.

Police say that the deceased had been shot at 11 times.

Meanwhile, another female present at the location had also been wounded in the altercation and was taken to the Ragama Hospital, along with the 39-year-old who was later pronounced dead upon admission to the hospital.

The gunman had opened fire at the victim using a pistol.
