New chancellor appointed to Kotelawala Defence University

General (Rtd) Shantha Kottegoda has been appointed to the post of Chancellor of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University for a period of 05 years.
Kottegoda was selected for the position by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
The appointment was made in terms of Section 7B (1) of the Sir John Kotelawala Defence Academy Act No. 68 of 1981 as amended.
