Parliament has been adjourned following protest by opposition MPs who claimed that the budget contained no benefits for the people. The budget debate is scheduled for 9.30am tomorrow.

Opposition MPs waving placards protested the budget claiming that there were no benefits for the common people of Sri Lanka.

Earlier UNP MP Kabir Hashim told Ada Derana that the budget is an agenda prepared by the IMF and it will be this agenda that government will run and not that of the voters.
