Having revolutionized Sri Lanka’s scope of Adventure Based Management Training over the last nine years through specialization in team building and leadership training for top corporates in Sri Lanka, Wild Drift recently celebrated their 500th training programme with Sri Lanka Cricket.

Wild Drifts 500th training programme, organized for the Sri Lanka Under 19 national cricket team was a resounding success. Speaking on the programme, head coach of the Under 19 national cricket team Naveed Nawaz said, “The two days spent at Belihul Oya with Wild Drift conducting a team building programme for the Under 19 team was time well spent. We were able to convey to the players how to work as a team, how to plan and execute, how different roles interconnect to enhance team performance and how to appreciate each team member’s performance through different activities conducted by the wild drift trainers. It was a unique experience with fun and enjoyment. And the video review at the end of each session was a good learning process for the boys as well as coaching staff”.

Right from their first programme with Suntel Limited, Wild Drift has fast become renowned for tailor-made solutions that catered precisely and effectively to customer requirements. With training programmes based on experiential learning and spiced up with adventure and nature to felicitate the great expectations of today’s workforce, Wild Drift is now the preferred choice for over 140 local and international organizations.

Boasting clients like SriLankan Airlines, JCI Sri Lanka, Paxar (Currently Avery Dennison), John Keells, Hayleys, MAS, HSBC, Etisalat, Nations Trust Bank, Deutsche Bank, CTC, CIC, Unilever, WHO, ILO, Microsoft, GSK, Kalbe pharma, and NDB, the company continues to grow through an enduring dedication to make each programme work for their clients.

Speaking on an unforgettable experience with Wild Drift, Savanthi Jayawickrama, Head of Strategic Marketing, Suntel Limited, said “Using Wild Drift’s experiential training as a training tool has been one of the key elements of training and development work since 2007 for our Customer Service Staff. The programmes were customized and developed to meet our specific requirements, including both pre and post evaluations. We saw and experienced great results both during and after the programme, and were able to achieve most of our goals as anticipated. The Wild Drift training programmes are in fact some of the best training and development programmes we have had for our staff, where significant results were shown over a period of time by helping staff to become more efficient, effective, professional and passionate in executing their day to day functions.”

With programmes ranging in scope from CEO’s to junior staff, Wild Drift sets a communicative and comprehensive stage for bonding and team building. Giving organizations the perfect platform to enhance productivity and strengthen relationships that will benefit employees as well as the organization through specifically catered programmes, Wild Drift helps its clients Unlearn and Relearn essential basics of team building by empowering teams to adapt to their own dynamics to maximize potential. Wild Drift also caters programmes in English, Sinhalese and Tamil or a mixture of languages depending on the client’s requirement.

Speaking on the journey of creating wild Drift, Joint CEO’s Rukmal de Silva and Anuruddha Bandara reflected on their growth as a company, “Wild Drift started as a curious experiment by two entrepreneurs who were driven with a passion for difference. We then followed with a phase of cautious build up of the business for about 4 years and have now got aggressive in the last 4 years, emerging as the most dominant player – Number 01! We are glad that Wild Drift is a corporate brand that is synonymous with heavy learning focused programs that produces results.  We have also built up a delivery capacity that has moved beyond the two directors of the company; a feat that no other competitor has been able to produce. Our plans are currently to build an International Corporate Service Brand with roots in Sri Lanka”.

Although training programmes are primarily conducted at Belihuloya Bolgoda, Dambulla and Udawalawe the team is also capable of catering to a location selected by the client in addition to providing foreign based activities in India and Dubai at their offshore bases.

Speaking on Wild Drift’s plans for the future, a senior facilitator who was at the 500th programme said, “The atmosphere, working conditions, harmony, passion, bonding and learning that is ‘Wild Drift’ has truly inspired me to be a part of this premier experiential learning management training company, and to give 110% of my abilities at not only our 500th programme, but with all our other programmes too. My dream is to now do the 1000th programme with the same enthusiasm and dedication. Here’s to the continuing legacy of Wild Drift! Ye Ye Ye!!”
