Two students dead after vehicle topples during Big Match roadshow

Two students in Grade 13 of a leading school in Badulla are reported dead after their vehicle toppled during a roadshow this afternoon (April 01).

Meanwhile, 06 others who were injured in the accident were admitted to the Provincial General Hospital in Badulla. Two of them are reportedly in critical condition.

According to a doctor at the hospital, the injured individuals have all been identified as schoolchildren.

The roadshow had been organized in view of the school’s Big Match, the annual cricket encounter with its rival school.

The accident took place near the new stadium in the proximity of the Badulla Cricket Stadium.
