Fuel prices down in Jaffna

Fuel prices have been reduced in the Jaffna with effect from today. The price of a litre of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 2.40, diesel and kerosene by Rs. 1.90 per litre, said Petroleum Industries Ministry Secretary H.T.M. Jayawardena.


Cabinet approval was granted this morning and the revision will be effective from today (July 14), Mr. Jayawardena said.


Accordingly, a litre of petrol which was sold earlier at Rs. 118 will be sold at Rs. 115.60 and diesel which was sold at Rs. 75.50 per litre earlier will be sold at Rs. 73.60. A litre of kerosene which was Rs. 53.50 will be sold at Rs. 51.60.
