Man killed while breaking ‘kurumba’ with explosive

One person was killed when he attempted to use an unexploded cone shaped expolsive device found in an air force training ground in Palliwasalthurai, Kalpitiya to break a ‘Kurumba”, Police media spokesman told Ada Derana.
The 32 year old man had found most probably a mortar and taken it to a nearby coconut estate
where he attempted to use the pointed device to split the coconut.
