Increased number of skin diseases reported in children owing to heatwave

Doctors have raised concerns over the recent increase in skin diseases being observed in children since of late.

Speaking in this regard, Pediatric Specialist Dr. Deepal Perera noted that this is likely due to the increased heat in the country, adding that it can also cause severe dehydration in children.

Thus, he urged parents to remain vigilant of their children.
